One Chocolate Chip Cookie

When you want just one chocolate chip cookie without spending so much time creating a whole batch, this single serve cookie recipe is the way to go! It creates a perfectly big enough, soft, and chewy chocolate chip cookie!

The only way to deal with a craving is to satisfy it and what better way to do it than with a fresh, warm, homemade, chocolate chip cookie! And to save time and energy from having to create a whole batch, this recipe creates just one cookie!

This single serve chocolate chip cookie has all the ideal qualities of a perfect cookie! It’s slightly crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside with pools of melted chocolate in every bite!

The Cookie Dough

Since this recipe is for just one cookie, we don’t need large quantities of ingredients. Everything can be shortened easily except the egg.

One cookie doesn’t use an entire egg and I think it’s an inconvenience to crack an egg only to use a small part of it. So we’re going to skip it altogether and use milk instead. In the end, the cookie still turns out soft, chewy, and delicious!

The dough will be a little wet which is why it is essential to freeze it for a few minutes before baking! This step gives it more structure, allowing it to bake perfectly in the oven without overspreading!

Before you get started…

-Measure ingredients correctly. Grams are the most accurate form of measurement. If you don’t have a scale, measure the flour using the spoon & level method.

-The milk needs to be room temperature, so heat it very slightly in the microwave before adding it into the batter.

-Freezing the cookie dough for a few minutes is required! Don’t skip this step!

-Feel free to add any other toppings you like! Nuts, oats, raisins…whatever you enjoy!

Whether you’re baking on a diet, have a small craving, or just don’t have the time and energy for a large batch of cookies, this single serve cookie recipe is the ideal solution! For more small serve desserts, try this small chocolate cake!

One Chocolate Chip Cookie

When you want just one chocolate chip cookie without spending so much time creating a whole batch, this single serve cookie recipe is the way to go! It creates a perfectly big enough, soft, and chewy chocolate chip cookie!
Flavored Nice
Total Time 20 minutes
Servings 1 cookie

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp (14 g) melted unsalted butter
  • 1/2 tbsp milk see note
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar or white sugar (or 1/2 tbsp of each) (+/- to your preference)
  • 1/8 tsp vanilla
  • 2 tbsp + 1 tsp (21 g) all purpose flour see note
  • Pinch of baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • chocolate chips

Instructions

  • In a bowl, add the melted butter, sugar, milk, and vanilla. Mix until everything is combined.
  • Then add the flour, salt, and baking soda and fold until no streaks of flour remain. Add the chocolate chips and mix again.
  • Freeze the dough for about 6-7 minutes. In the meantime, preheat the oven to 375℉ (190℃).
  • When ready to bake, place the dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for about 10-12 minutes, until the edges are golden brown. Be careful not to over bake. It’ll look slightly soft and gooey in the center when it first comes out the oven but it continues to cook from the residual heat of the pan as it cools.
  • Let it cool on the baking sheet until set and then enjoy!

Notes

  • Measure the flour correctly. Use a kitchen scale to measure in grams or if you don’t have one, then use the spoon and level method.
  • The milk should be room temperature so heat it very slightly in the microwave before adding to the batter. Make sure it’s not too hot.
